NJ baby shower
Before my bridal shower, I was a ball of nerves. I felt so odd and selfish having all eyes on me as I opened gifts. I know this is ridiculous. In fact, I LOVE attending friends' showers so I don't know why I felt so uncomfortable at my own. I'm so weird.
But today I had a different kind of shower and I felt completely different 
How cute are the Giants helmet favors my friend made? I loved them!
I also loved the lollipops my mom made!
My first baby shower felt surreal. It's something I never thought I'd get to experience so I soaked up each moment. Opening the gifts was anything but awkward because they technically weren't for me- and they were all so darn cute!
My aunt kindly hosted a baby shower along with my mom and my friends. Everything was so perfect down to the company, food, and games.

I'll never get over how lucky I am. I was raised in an amazing family, somehow duped a great guy into marrying me, and am now expecting a baby. I hope I'm able to surround my little man with as much love throughout his life as I've felt over the years.

When I had a shower in Utah – I had to return everything to the stores there, get gift cards, and then go rebuy everything once I got back to SC! So nice that they can drive things down for you!

How fun! I actually felt extremely awkward opening gifts at my showers – I would rather people talk over me than watch me diligently open gifts. But, isn’t it amazing how incredibly loved you feel?! So much different + better than a bridal shower!

I felt the same way about opening shower gifts- feels so awkward!!! I am not surprised you were the same way- as we seem to be very much alike.
